    plain yoghurt

    garam masala

  • 2tsps

    paprika

    ground black pepper

    chicken breasts cubed

  • The Sauce

  • 3Tbsp

    Vegetable oil

  • 1tsp

    cumin seeds

    large onion chopped

  • 1Tbsp

    minced garlic

  • 1Tbsp

    freshly grated ginger

    medium tomatoes diced

  • 0.5cup

    tomato paste

  • 0.25cup

    water

  • 1tsp

    garam masala

  • 0.5tsp

    ground coriander

  • 0.5tsp

    ground turmeric

  • 0.5cup

    cream

  • 0.5tsp

    salt or to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

    1. In a large bowl, add the marinade ingredients and combine.
    2. Add the cubed chicken and toss to coat.
    3. Refrigerate for 2 hours, covered.

    5. Stir in the onion and saute until soft.
    6. Add the garlic and ginger and cook until onion starts to brown.
    7. Add the chicken and combine.
    8. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste and water and cook for about 10 minutes,
    9. Add the garam masala, coriander and turmeric.
    10. Stir in the cream and combine.
    11. Cover and simmer for another 10 minutes.
    12. Season with salt to taste.
    13. Serve over rice.
